The DaVinci Resolve Studio Activation Key is a physical activation code that can be used on a maximum of two systems simultaneously (for example, a desktop workstation and a laptop). If the licence key is activated a third time, all previous activations will be cleared and you will need to activate any copy again.

New Layout for Vertical Timelines

When a vertical timeline loads, the cut, edit and colour page layouts automatically rearrange to optimise working with a vertical viewer, giving you maximum use of the screen.

Voice Over Palette

Record a voice over track during timeline playback with cue, record and stop controls, plus quick access to voice isolation, dialogue levelling, a prompter script and countdown.

Refined Keyframe Editing

A dedicated keyframe editor in the cut and edit pages allows for finer parameter animation using keyframe curves, parameter modes and ease controls.

Improved Text+ Graphic Layout

Text+ has been updated with point, text box, circle and path styles for more refined control over text graphics, and PSD files can be split into individual layers in place.

Create Unique Text Layers

The MultiText tool creates multiple text layers in one place. Use inspector tabs to set individual appearance, layout, warping and keyframe animation per layer.

New Live Overwrite Controls

Drag directly in the viewer to live overwrite a camera angle into the timeline. Drag horizontally to paint at the playhead, or drag down to turn the angle into a draggable clip.

Source Viewer Timeline Editing

Open a timeline in the source viewer to review, compare and edit between two timelines with stacked timelines and drag and drop media between them.

Safe Trimming Mode

Prevents you from accidentally overwriting crucial edits. Drag trim points to fill gaps and Resolve pauses at each cut point until you choose to continue.

New Audio Mixer

The cut page now features a full audio mixer with professional loudness metering, pan, fader, solo, mute, EQ, Dynamics and FX controls per channel.

Voice Over Tool

On the edit page, record directly into the timeline with quick controls for file name, audio input, destination track, countdown and input monitoring.

Multi Source

See all your live cameras, or clips sharing a common timecode, in a multiview. Scrub, play, select shots to add to the timeline or switch live from any angle.

Point of Interest

Capture significant moments with a POI marker placed on all clips at the same time, so you can find the event on every angle and build a highlights timeline.

Replay Palette

Set a POI with a single key, select a camera and cue the event. Run to play to air automatically via ATEM, switch cameras, or dump the playout for the next replay.

Auto Stinger

Moving graphic and sound transitions signal a switch between live and replay. Auto stingers play in real time at the head and tail of a replay, even in slow motion.

Color

Chroma Colour Warp

Intuitively adjust colour and saturation with a single motion in the viewer. Use stroke or point to point modes and add pin points to isolate regions you don't want to affect.

Remote Monitoring Improvements

When streaming remotely, you can display power windows and overlays on the reference monitor. H.265 4:2:2 streaming is now supported.

UltraNR Noise Reduction

A new DaVinci AI Neural Engine driven denoise mode that dramatically reduces digital noise while maintaining image clarity. Combine with temporal noise reduction for even better results.

Film Look Creator

Add cinematic looks that replicate film properties like halation, bloom, grain, flicker, gate weave and vignetting, with exposure in stops and subtractive saturation controls.

ColorSlice Six Vector Grading

Uses subtractive colour processes to adjust image density, saturation and hue, producing rich filmic colours. Customisable vector slices enhance colour without spill.

Marker Overlays and Annotations

The Color page viewer now supports marker overlays and annotations. Leave written notes, pick marker colour and thickness, and draw directly in the viewer.

Composite Modes within Nodes

Corrector nodes now feature composite modes, affecting how node values blend into the pipeline without needing a layer mixer, for cleaner node graphs.

Automatic Depth Map

Instantly generate a 3D depth matte of a scene to grade foreground and background separately, bringing attention to action or adding atmosphere behind subjects.

Deep Image Compositing

Access depth data in deep image EXR files with new nodes to merge, transform, resize, crop, recolour and generate holdouts, rendering deep EXRs with the Fusion saver node.

Multi Layer Pipeline

Fusion supports multi-layer images across all nodes. Read multi-layer EXRs or Photoshop files and access any layer in any node without independent renders.

Vector Warping Toolset

Vector warp, vector transform and vector denoise use motion vectors to enable intricate temporal effects, leveraging a clip's natural movement.
