With the Lian Li Lancool 217, you can build a powerful gaming PC that perfectly blends aesthetics and performance with convenience. The innovative interior of this chassis offers excellent support for gaming hardware, including E-ATX motherboards, large GPUs, multiple storage drives, and long ATX PSUs. What’s more, you can easily maintain optimum thermals, as the Lancool 217 provides excellent support for up to nine fans and a top mounting position for radiators up to 360mm long. Plus, this is a user-friendly case, with toolless fan mounts, two orientations for your PSU, and power buttons on the top and side of the chassis. Furthermore, this case boasts an elegant design, with stylish mesh front and top panels, each framed by real wood accents. The black finish uses dark walnut, and the white version features light pine.
The Lian Li Lancool 217 is an incredible choice for both gaming PCs and creative workstations, as its innovative internal design can support a fantastic variety of hardware. The large main chamber can facilitate Mini-ITX to E-ATX motherboards, including rear-connector models such as MSI Project Zero and ASUS BTF. Additionally, with seven expansion slots and a 380mm GPU clearance, you’ll have ample room for a powerhouse graphics card, such as an NVIDIA RTX 5080 or AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT.
In addition to this, the Lancool 207 boasts several features that make building much more convenient. There are two ways to install your PSU. You can use the standard configuration, with the power socket facing out the back, which allows for longer PSUs to be installed. Alternatively, you can turn it 90° and have the power plug come out the right of the case, so cable management is made easier.
This case is also versatile when in use, as you’ll be able to easily power on your PC whether it is on the floor or on your desk, thanks to its two power buttons. One button is positioned on top of the chassis, to reach for when the Lancool 217 is located under your desk. If you prefer to put your PC on top of your desk, the second button is on the left side of the case next to the front I/O.
Keeping your PC cool will be easy with the Lian Li Lancool 217, as it boasts phenomenal cooling performance. The case is equipped with large mesh panels on the front and side of the case for air intake, and another on the top to exhaust warm air. Plus, the Lancool 217 features a 180mm CPU cooler clearance and room to install a radiator ranging from 240mm to 360mm.
To create optimum airflow, this case can support a wide variety of fans. The front can accommodate two 170mm fans, the top of the PSU chamber has mounting points for three 120mm fans, the rear panel is compatible with a single 120mm or 140mm fan, and the top has space for three 120mm or two 140mm fans. Moreover, the Lancool 217 comes with five pre-installed fans, including two 170mm fans at the front, two reverse blade fans on the PSU shroud, and an additional 140mm fan on the rear panel.
If you wish to change your fan configuration, Lian Li has made it much simpler. The included 170mm and 120mm reverse blade fans feature an innovative toolless mounting system. Each of these fans utilises rubber inserts, similar to those found on hard drive sled mounts, letting them slide into place. Using this system, you can quickly and easily adjust your cooling solution to maximise performance from your gaming hardware.
In addition to this, the Lian Li Lancool 217 boasts fantastic aesthetics. The most striking part are the real wood accents that frame the top and front of the case. The black edition features dark walnut accents, while the white edition utilises light pine.
The Lancool 217 has other stylish touches, such as the uniquely shaped front panel that gives it a 3D effect that is stunning from any angle. Additionally, both styles of case include a crystal-clear tempered glass side panel that shows off your components and building skills. What’s more, the Lancool 217 is an ideal option for those looking to build a subtle computer, as it includes zero RGB lighting.
